You know you’re doing something right when the Queen B herself, Beyoncé, shares your work on her site. Textile and knitwear master Laduma Ngxokolo hails from Port Elizabeth, and much like his sister is not afraid to showcase his Xhosa heritage.

Teaming up with South African television presenter, actor, model, creative consultant, and business entrepreneur, Maps Maponyane, designer Rich Mnisi presented ‘R’ a line inspired by the grace and strength of the African Giraffe.

12 Rings, 12 Designers, 12 Dresses - Sterns Bridal Showcase

One would expect nothing less than spectacular from a show like this: 12 of South Africas best bridal-ware designers where given 12 of Sterns most beautiful rings, each tasked with creating a dress to match the brilliance of the ring. The designers involved where: Danielle Margaux, Francois Vedemme, Heni by Milo, Kobus Dippenaar, La Art Neviole Emporium, NN Vintage by Nhlanhla Nciza, Orapeleng Modutle Style Avenue, Stefania Morland, Suzaan Heyns, Thabo Makhetha, Werner Dey, and Zarth by Zama Mathe.

The designers showcasing collections where: KikoRomeo by Ann McCreath (Kenya), Tina Lobondi (DRCongo), Mina Evans (Ghana), Otinguema by Jessica Nguema-Metoule (Gabon), Adama Paris (Senegal), Osuare Egbuonu (Nigeria), Ciss Saint Moïse (Côte d'Ivoire), Soraya da Piedade (Angola), Sheria Ngowi (Tanzania), Laduma by MaXhosa (South Africa), Haute Baso brought to you by Air Rwanda(Rwanda).
